Armada

Check out the band Armada.
Originally formed as a four piece punk band, Armada has evolved into a fast paced, hard rocking power trio. Formed in the small town of Omro, WI, all three members have found the way to blend alternative rock, punk, and hard rock into their own separate styles. Armada is a band with the ability to write rhythmically pounding and lyrically pleasing songs. On stage Armada delivers a roller coaster of emotion. They rock the crowd with a mixture of catchy melodies and interesting rhythms. Although a band with a passion for distorted guitar riffs, grooving bass lines and fast pounding drum beats, Armada also enjoys delivering a taste of mellow, acoustic sounds.

MiTaza needs musicians!

MiTaza Coffeehouse (at the University Wisconsin Oshkosh) has been renovated, remodeled and expanded and now includes an entertainment area for acoustic acts.
If you’re interested in performing during the lunch hour in Reeve Union, give us a call. We’re looking for all types of music. This is a great opportunity to hone your skills, become comfortable with performing and entertain in a small venue.

For more information, contact Brandon Heise at 424-1472 or heiseb@uwosh.edu.

Hey Kids,
So if you heard the rumor that we got signed to a label, it is officially true! As of 2 weeks ago Verona Grove is now signed to Pats Record Company/Universal, you can check it out at patsrecordcompany.com, or their myspace. We are totally excited about this and we are currently taking a break to write for the upcoming album, we might just post a show soon so keep your eyes out.
In the mean time, take a listen to a couple of new DEMOS that we just posted, thats what we have for you until the record is done! Enjoy, and let us know what you think!

Actually this person didn't even have the internet for a while.
Don't worry. If you are one of the few people that have already discovered this site you have yet another reason to visit it again--because it'll be updated very soon.

Austin's Tuna Helpers rolled into to town to play another fine Oshkosh performance-this time at the

3rd Serving of Tuna Helpers in April

Tuna Helpers are coming back to Oshkosh to rock the

New Moon Cafe

April 5

A message from Tuna Helpers

"My name is Adrienne and I am part of an all female,
puppet-wielding, experimental band called The
TunaHelpers. We will be headed out on our 8th national
tour to promote our newest release on Mimicry Records.
This will be our 3rd show in Oshkosh."

Here's what the press says about The TunaHelpers:

Girls Town Productions
"Adrienne’s stunning voice soars above lush,
sparkling melodies and jagged guitar, sometimes from
the center of the stage, her wild eyes shifting around
the audience, or hidden behind a two-headed puppet..."

Bitch Magazine
"Though Adrienne may race around stage, kicking and
screaming, her piercing eyes bulging out of her head
as she releases a glorious yowl, you’d somehow feel at
ease leaving her with your children."

Westword (Denver, Colorado)

The TunaHelpers

"operatic, piano-anchored spells of art rock that
imagine Azure Ray taking up residence in a Neil Gaiman
graphic novel: all mystery, melody and magic."

Maximum Ink Music Magazine

"The all-female trio unearthly fancies hopscotch with
an Alice through the Looking Glass aura overflowing
with diverting, high-diving dervishes."

The Austin Chronicle
The TunaHelpers Starring in the Suspicious Fish
"...the Tuna Helpers celebrate social deviance in a
manner that's both hilarious and bass-ackwardly
intelligent."

Nuvo (Indianapolis, Indiana)

"...they take that goulash of influences and turn them
into a mini-masterpiece that’s equal parts
experimental and theatrical."
